Last year I gave you guys a gift of good news as a Christmas Eve gift and gave you a update on Young Justice. With confirmed info from show producer Greg Weisman. Let me guess didn’t see it? That’s okay here ya go http://amerimemedia.blogspot.com/2016/12/young-justice-season-3.html?view=snapshot. Well I have some news for you. Last season it was called Young Justice: Invasion this time it’s Young Justice: Outsiders. The story will be about the trafficking of meta-humans and using them as weapons. Here the dumb side of the story. Now if you read the last piece you will recall how I theorized it would be shown on Netflix since the site has been showing the series and making it more popular to the point that now a third season is upon us. Sad to say they have decided to go a alternate route. Warner Brothers has announced a streaming service which Season three will be a flagship program on it, There will also be a live action Teen Titans show on the cite. So far I that's all they have announced for this service. This is a very bad move on their part. So now they expect people to pay for ANOTHER streaming service. I mean we have Netflix, Hulu, Amazon prime, Crunchyroll, and now you want people to chuck out more money for your streaming service?
This a huge slap in the face to Netflix in my opinion. If it wasn’t for Netflix streaming the first 2 seasons keeping it popular and relevant as well as expanding its fan base further we would not be talking about a season 3. I believe this is a very greedy move on Warner Bros. behalf and I think it will come back to bite them harder than the last Green Lantern Movie.
While I’m here I want to bring attention to the potential writers strike. A good number of you folks out there might not remember the strike of 2007-2008. But a lot of great shows didn’t survive or just were not the same Wizards of waverly place canned. Chuck got chucked, Pushing Daisies ended up daisies. Most of you don’t think it affected you but if you had a issue with X-men origins: Wolverine, GI Joe :rise of Cobra, Transformers rise of the fallen. The biggest fail was Dragaonball Evolution.
Fox had originally had to rush a property in development hell before the strike happened so the company could lie to investors making sure that their summer returns were not just reliant on Wolverine. We all know how that turned out. What can we do about it? Well we are more interactive with them now more than ever. Get on their twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram let them know how you feel stand by your writer. Message the production companies to give the writers what they need so we all can have a great time in film and television.
