Who's On The Storm Front?! (CASTING IDEAS FOR STORM)

So, The world thought Beyoncé was gonna play Storm in BLACK PANTHER 2. The Beyhive was happy but the comic book and movie lovers cringed a bit. I spent time watching Beyoncé filmography and I’ve come to the conclusion that her acting has improved but I don’t think she should play Storm. I believe that the role should go to someone a bit more versed in acting and their profile won’t be so distracting. So here we are on the casting couch once again but this time I’m focused on one role. These are a few choices I think marvel should consider for Storm.

 

First off is kind of a cheat but I believe Alexandrea Shipp should be allowed to play Storm again. She played the character in the last two films. She has already voiced her love of the character. The writers of the films did not give her much to work with. Like seriously in the Dark Phoenix I think she had 2 maybe three lines of dialogue at the very least. Maybe the house of mouse should give her a chance to fly. Most of the minor characters didn’t have much to do. Don’t let me get started on Jubilee.

 

Yetide Badaki is actually very hype for the chance to play Storm. You may remember her from American Gods she played Bilquis the goddess. She was strong, powerful, and dominated almost every scene she was in. The internet said they think she would be a good fit and account for her Twitter she thinks so too. If she were to play the role, I’d see her as an antagonist turned hero. I think it would be awesome to see how the King of Wakanda gets tossed up in a tornado.

 

Dominique Jackson's name has been ringing out loud and proud from the fans of POSE. If you have seen the show it would be easy to understand why. Jackson steals almost every scene ion Pose. I say only cause the competition is fierce. If Jackson became Storm the movements alone will be a showstopper.

 

Next up we have Janelle Monae. Monae, like many other musicians, transitioned over to acting. But unlike her brethren, she has made such memorable performances you often forget that she is an accomplished singer. She has a real knack for drama from Moonlight to hidden figures as well as a horror film out this would be the best move plus being in a new franchise wouldn’t hurt.

 

Amandla Sternberg issue the last pic for today. You may remember her as Rue from the hunger games. Well, she’s been very busy with her career. When she not using her voice inn animation like RIO 2 or Neo Yokio she has left audiences in tears with her performances in The Hate you Give and Everything, everything.  Maybe it’s Tome for her to stick around a blockbuster franchise for more than one movie. She did audition for the first movie maybe she needs to give it one more go. What do you guys think
